Remote Spotlight on 2007 31 PC

[Unforgettable]

The remote spotlight rotates left to right and visa versa but it will not tilt up or down. Any thoughts?

Had that problem once on an older boat. It turned out to be the contacts inside of the switch. Of course, it could be the tilt motor but I would suspect the switch first.

Does it make any noise or is it completely dead? Stripped gears on mine. Parts are readily available.

i agree with the switch, on my old boat i had to take it apart every spring and service the control switch.

Mine was broken teeth on the rotating gear. I flipped the gear 180 and no mre problem.

Had a wire that came loose off the motor from the inside of the spotlight.What make and model of the spotlight?

Took the dash apart over the weekend and the back of the switch (approx 10 wires it it) and all appeared to be intact. Not sure of the make. Will check later on and revert.

i actually had to take that switch apart and clean the contacts. it was kinda a pain but it always cured my problem.
