Hello all just a quick update of a project I recently finished...

- Existing anchor rode (100') original galvanized chain
-- Some sections sitting in chain locker essentially fused rusted mess
-- Debris fully clogged starboard bow drain tube

- Removed legacy chain
- Opened underneath chain locker from cabin
-- Removed clogged drain tube (not easy) and cleared rust debris (tapping through with screwdriver and hammer it was that bad)
-- Reinstalled drain tube and ran water to check for leaks
- Lewmar V2/V3 Assembly
-- Have "000" gypsy
-- Added white grease top and bottom (seems like a good idea)
-- Ordered combo 175' 1/2" 8-plait rope w/ 50' 1/4" stainless steel chain
-- Reinstalled with no issues
- Lewmar 22lb Bruce Anchor
-- Installed shackle, stainless steel chain link, stainless steel swivel, and tripline
-- Loc-tite on threads
-- Couldn't get tripline setup to work...zipties (used 4 50lb shear) kept snapping once anchor touched bow roller
--- Went back to traditional setup with shackle/swivel...works great...but obviously no tripline setup

Should I use the industrial 250lb shear zip ties for the tripline setup?

Not sure of advertising rules here, but DM me if you want to know who provided new anchor rode setup....I was very pleased with their service...
