It's either the Cruise 42 or the Cruise 65. I just can't remember. I will be at the boat on Tuesday and I'll get the model number.

Speaking of ice maker's and not to hijack this thread but mine is not producing ice...
Any ideas? Has power, 'sounds' like it's running, seems to get cool, I'm lead to believe its the water delivery.
Do I need to have the water pump running for this to operate?
Thanks for the input.

Yes, water pump supplies the water to the icemaker. Without water, there will be no ice cubes.

Thanks, I thought maybe it was on a different loop or feed, but now that in think ore about it that makes sense

400, check for water supply going to the ice maker first. take the lower vent cover off the front and you will see the water line connection. if you are getting water, open the door and in the upper left corner is a square white cover. take off that cover (it just snaps on) and see if there is a bunch of corrosion inside the mechanism. if there is, you can replace that whole unit pretty inexpensively (compared to replacing the whole thing). google "uline icemaker 402", this is the assembly that will solve your issue. as long as it is cooling and getting water this is the only other thing that will really keep it from making ice. i just did this repair for a buddy of mine last night, he had the same problem. installed the assembly, hooked up water, turned on the unit and 45 minutes later we had ice. not too bad for $150! i also did the exact same repair to my own ice maker several years ago and she's still churnin out the cubes. i've learned to leave the unit on pretty much all the time and just raise the stop lever if you don't need it to make more ice. i've done this year round since i repaired it. in the spring i'll shoot a bit of lubricant into the mechanism too. i also installed a shut off inside the cabin. this has worked well for me in my area but depending on your location YMMV.

Boattard, are you planning on replacing the ice maker with a reefer? if so, send me a Pm.

I realize this is an old thread, but is there enough clearance in the back for the Cruise 49, which does not offer a compressor that can be remotely mounted from what I understand? Or, is our only option to go with the Cruise 42?

Okay, I found the answer to my own question and documenting it for the future reference. The fridge needs to be an Isotherm Elegance 42 which allows for the compressor to be mounted remotely, which we need to for depth clearance.

I’m thinking of doing the same thing. I noticed though that the Cruse 42 is DC only. Isn’t the existing ice maker AC?
