Running Wiring from Stern to Helm

This offseason I need to run the Smartcraft wiring from my engines to the helm so I can display the info on my MFD. Is there a preferred path or way to do this? Or is it just how it looks and I just need to run a chase up the side wherever I can get through (using common sense of course) to pull the wiring up?

On my 240BR there was a pull cord at the helm, goin down the starboard side to the stern. I didn’t need it though, as I removed the circuit breaker panel, speakers, and the access hatch under the throttle, and was able to feed wires through.

My 34 pc has a clear 1.5” hose that runs on stbd side. Look close you might have same thing. Runs from under dash to just past the bulkhead by about 1 foot. Found it by accident. Factory installed!

Thanks All Dodge, that's the current plan.

I was hoping to find something like that but haven't. I'll double check next time I'm at the boat since it appears that Formula did this on some boats.

Andrew, I have a feeling you're old enough that you're gonna have to do it the old fashioned way. i had major issues running some wires on mine, and was told that the conduit had been added in newer boats.

good luck!

Up the starboard gunwale there is a ton of room on the PC’s. I just followed the main harness up to the breaker panel near the foot rests at the helm. Once there, it was easy to get behind the dash. For ease of service, I put the entire network behind the plotter in the event I would either add on or been access.

Once you get started, it goes pretty quick!
