Went out today for a ride. Come back in to dock and port engine again no forward! I thought I fixed this issue earlier this season by clearing all pins and connectors but I guess not. Happened to have a friend who?s a mechanic on the dock and he said why don?t we try cleaning the relays in the black box. Guess what it worked! Couldn?t get the port in forward for over an hour and just removing the relays and cleaning them fixed the problem. I?ve been dealing with this gremlin for years on and off issues. I?m going to replace then3 relays on each engine control box. If this was the problem I?m going to be upset with a few Volvo certified mechanics who couldn?t fix the problem but charged me anyway. Hope this helps someone with similar issues!
