I am about to pull the trigger on SeaDek for the cockpit & swim platform and wanted to reach out to see if folks would post images of what they have/ did on their boats with respect to colors patterns logos designs etc....

I can't help you ....yet, but I am following.....and if anyone already did a 2006 31PC, maybe the dealer you used still has a template for me :)

Hey Jerybak,

Have you already pulled the trigger? A couple weeks ago I had SeaDek installed on my 2005 34 PC. These aren't the best pics but you will get an idea of how awesome this stuff is!

After doing a TON of research, I decided to pay a little extra and purchase the Snap-In and NOT the glue down. EVERYONE I spoken to that installed the glue down has issues with certain area coming up or needing more glue. The Snap-In is AWESOME and if I ever wanted to remove it, it takes 2 minutes......AND cleaning it and under it is super easy. Oh and with the snap-on the material is MUCH thicker and it feels great under your feet!

Anyway, enjoy the pics and feel free to ask me anything.

wow, didn't know that was an option, do you know what thickness material they used?

Yes, it is 11mm thick. Much thicker than the glue down since the material needs to accommodate the snaps without ripping. I am really happy with it and unsnapping it whenever you want to hose it down (or the boat) is AWESOME!

Let me know if you want any close up pics.

Just an FYI: After a lot of research, and abusing samples from several companies, I decided to go with AquaTraction. AT appears to not have the shrinking issues that SeaDek has, cleaned up easier during my sample tests, and is half the cost. YMMV

Yeah I heard about some shrinking with SeaDek......another reason why I went with snap-in vs glue down. I won't have shrinking issues and the snap-in SeaDek is almost twice as thick as the ones they glue down. Also, I felt it was a great price.....Paid exactly 2k for everything (computer measuring of all areas, installation and boat name engraving) for the entire cockpit, steps and large area under the windshield. What is AT charging if you don't mind me asking?

Please post pictures. Would love to see it installed. Are you going glue or snap-on?

2k? SeaDek quoted me almost 5k for my 31 PC.

AquaTraction original quote was 2,400 for the whole thing, laser template, full cockpit, swim platform and installation. I added the steps at the windshield walkthrough, custom graphic, and a thick dock mat with graphic. Complete cost after tax, 3,100.

I will post pics when the install is complete.

WOW....5k? That's insane. I paid 2k including tax, entire cockpit, 1st step down by sliding cabin door and the 3 steps and landing going through the windshield. Also included the boat name laser etched in one of the pieces (see my earlier pics). Also, they came and laser templated the entire areas, removal of old carpet snaps and full install of the SeaDek (and snaps). If I would have gone with the Glue Down, it would have been about 30% less expensive!! I didn't do the swim platform because it was already done by the previous owner (not SeaDek). The swim platform alone is about $500 extra if I was to do it. So not sure where in the world their $5k price came from. Insane. Maybe it was a special price because I spoke to them initially at the boat show?? They originally quoted me like $2,300 but I insisted for 2k out the door.

Yes please post pics. Would love to see it. Enjoy! :)

His total was 3100 with the extras, not 5k.

We just got ours done 2 months again and absolutely love it. I will attach a picture or pictures if I can figure out how to.

How does the snap in work? what does it snap into? do you have to lay a foundation? a strip?

Such a great topic..great pics too!

Didn't know about snap-in I am totally doing that...I tried to get online quote and they said 2006 34PC no template existed 🙄

Check with SC Wake, they are a Seadek dealer and had an 34PC 2006 template that I used to order for my swim platform.
