SeaDek Colors / Design / Patterns Etc..

Love the AquaTraction! What an upgrade. Admiral loves it. It's been everyone's very first comment about the boat. Here is a teaser pic of the install. I took this pic to send to the upholster, but it shows some of the decking. More to come when i am back at the boat.

How does the seadeck / aquatraction do with dog paws?

I avoided the seadeck Idea so far because everyone says it gets really hot, and that the glue is a mess. The snap in looks like the best of everything.

I got as many samples as I could including SeaDeck and AquaTraction. I submitted all to 24 hour red wine soaking, simulated dog claws, heavy duty cleaners, and heat retention by placing out in the hot sun.

Both SeaDeck and AquaTraction stood up well to the cleaners. Both also did on with my simulated dog paws. SD stained slightly from the red wine while AT did not. SD was HOT, AT was warm. From the research I have done, the major reason I chose AT glue down was the heat retention and the shrinking issue that SD has. The shrinkage is what causes the glue issue.

I hope that helps.

1999 260BR. Marine Mat (terra top and champagne bottom). We have a swimplatform.com extension and I removed the tow bar and filled/gelcoated the single center hole and added the single tow point. So far we LOVE the flooring!

Sea deck is crap! Everything the warranty excluded happenedIMG_0702.jpgIMG_0704.JPGIMG_0705.JPG the first 3 months. Curled up, shrank, pattern disappeared. Funny ha ha the boat was in the same slip the install was done in. Took me 3 weeks doing 1 sq ft at a time to get the transfer glue off my non skid when I ripped it out! Went with snap in Infiniti marine. About the same price but still looks great.

Hey Jerybak,

Have you already pulled the trigger? A couple weeks ago I had SeaDek installed on my 2005 34 PC. These aren't the best pics but you will get an idea of how awesome this stuff is!

After doing a TON of research, I decided to pay a little extra and purchase the Snap-In and NOT the glue down. EVERYONE I spoken to that installed the glue down has issues with certain area coming up or needing more glue. The Snap-In is AWESOME and if I ever wanted to remove it, it takes 2 minutes......AND cleaning it and under it is super easy. Oh and with the snap-on the material is MUCH thicker and it feels great under your feet!

Anyway, enjoy the pics and feel free to ask me anything.

Mo

You still happy with your choice?
No shrinking, stains or damage?
