Returned this evening from a glorious day on the bay to hear the shower sump running on our '08 27 PC. Frankly, that it's August and I haven't had any trouble with it yet this year I considered the current run to be pretty fortunate.
Did the usual degunking and cleaned & dried the infernal box and handed the bucket to my bride to dump while I reassembled the beast. Then, I caught sight of the gaping hole where the rubber anti return valve is supposed to be. This is where the Attwood S500 discharge outlet nestles into the &$;@&$"! Sump box outlet hose. I swear I didn't yell AT her, but I did yell, DON'T DUMP! Too late. Into the murky depths went 8 cents worth of rubber that'll scuttle a weekend and cripple the finest of boats. I've scoured and can't find that part. Clues? I'll call TAG in the morning, but any guidance is - as always - appreciated. Likewise, heads up to all: when sopping the sludge out of the shower box and into a bucket, beware of integral parts that hitchhike on the rag.
