Splash Day Dreamin.' When & where?

As this historically frigid Winter finally begins to bow out, and land and sea finally begin to thaw here in the north, I'm sure that I'm not alone in my freakish anticipation of the single greatest day of the year...Splash Day! Problem is, it can't get here fast enough. So I thought I'd drop this here as a halfway house of sorts for those of us who aren't quite yet tucked away in our slips to share our target launch date and location. A little vicarious vacation for our soggy mariner souls... 27PC Sol Mate splashes May 23 in Elk Rapids, MI (Grand Traverse Bay)...see ya'll at the sandbar!

Heck,
I am just taking of the Shrink-wrap this weekend

Peeling back the shrink wrap this weekend, hope to splash mid May as usual...but I'm 2 weeks behind already.
Lil' Rhody is the where...

went in April 1st. I guess itsbnot all bad here in overpriced lib-tard land we call Vancouver

Have a cousin who's a professional diver there in Vancouver. His son lives on his boat. Neither are bad gigs if you can get 'em!

Nice! I always see a Searay 480 outside of my house with divers hopping off. any chance of relation? I live in Lions bay up Howe sound

Sorry bad - it's not likely. These are commercial Geoduck divers generally out on open water on a commercial boat - usually out 3-4 days at a stretch. He's across the strait from you in Nanaimo. Beautiful place you call home!

Honestly, i thinks its a case of "the grass is greener over there" . It is nice, when its not raining which it does 9 out of 10 days and its expensive. For the price of our home u can buy 2 homes at Figure 8 island in NC. along with the price of everything else. gas is at 7 bucks a gallon right now. Filling up my power boat is a mortgage payment, lol

I've been in the water since October 2012. :) I take mine out for maintenance only (which unfortunately has been a lot).

Finally...May 1st...Sandusky, OH - forecasting cold and rain though :-(

Yuck! We are expecting 80 degree weather over this week. Not sure how winds will be though. Opening day parade is this weekend.

Launch is scheduled for Wed (4/30). Lake St. Clair, MI...the ice is finally gone from the marinas. :)

Took the drive up to GT Bay this weekend. Still a good bit of ice out there but clinging to hope for a mid-May splash. Maybe I should just join jt and Skip down "south!" Frozen fingers crossed...

hey six, being down south has its disadvantages too ya know. ya spend more money on fuel cause yer boatin 9-10 months outta the year ;)

best of luck on your splash day, i hope you get in sooner rather than later :)

Don't feel bad. I'm not in either. May 2nd, Pasadena MD, come heck or high water or wind or rain or....you get the picture.

I used to think and speak highly of you Tenn... ;)

Got one tuition to accomplish yet, but then our I-75 eyes really start to focus on a very special island in the sun! Admiral's aboard. Just need to convince the accountant!

If floating is the same as splashed....we are in!! Got a surprise yesterday...the area my boat was stored at the marina will be under water by the weekend so in the water it went. It has not been summerized but it is floating safely in a slip!! This weather is crazy.....and now it is SNOWING!!!
