Hi All,
I had the ACR Searchlight repaired in July. ACR Electronics happens to be in Ft. Lauderdale. It was not lighting nor rotating. They found one broken reflector and missing "cogs" for the rotating function. I had an electrician remove & replace it and we tested it and all was good. So, a few days ago I was coming back from Miami at night and my home port, Hillsboro Inlet is not well lit at all. So, of course, went to turn on the spot light and NADA! I know it is getting power because it is rotating and the red power light is on...it is hard wired so nothing to actually turn on. First thing I checked was the electrical panel by the helm, to see if a circuit breaker had popped and nope, not it. The bulbs were changed last January because that is why I thought it was not working in the first place so, they have hardly had any use.
Any suggestions before I have to pay an electrician again?
