Hi all,

Any 41 PC owners out there with this problem? On my 2002 41 PC the waste hose goes along the starboard side, along the bottom of the galley cabinets and behind the refer and makes a major uphill turn to go along the top of the fuel tank, then down the rear bulkhead aft of the fuel tank into the vacuum generator. The hose then runs around the back of the boat inside the swim platform and exits int the holding tank in the port rear corner. I couldn't have designed a system that was more indirect, with more low spots (a no-no) If I tried! The hose is permeated to the max and I am going to redo the whole system, which should be fun! Before I do, I was wondering if there's anyone out there who has specific experience to the 41PC. Thanks! Simon

i actually have none with that particular model but would like to make one suggestion. if you are in fresh water you may want to look at a purisan system (if in salt water it is called a lectrasan). it will basically hook up with your vacuflush system but does away with all the holding tank and pump out stuff. you flush, it gets treated and pumped overboard and is legal and saves a ton of space. just something you may want to consider.

I AM REALY SURPRISED YOUR HOSE IS PERMEATED. FORMULA USES SEALAND HOSE, AND IT IS THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS. NOT SURE HOW YOU ARE TELLING IF THE HOSE IS PERMEATED OR NOT, BUT TAKE A HOT WET RAG, AND LEAVE IT ON THE HOSE ABOUT 5 MINUTES OR SO. AFTER, SMELL THE RAG. IF IT STINKS, THE HOSE IS PERMEATED. IF NOT, LOOK FOR A LEAK.
WITH VACUFLUSH, VERY LITTLE LAYS IN THE LINE AFTER BEING FLUSHED.

Gsent, I know the Sealand hose is guaranteed for 5 years... However, I think the boat must have been stored with waste in the lines at some point. The outer casing of the hose is no longer white, it's black with mold from the permeation and I'm not exaggerating. I don't need the rag test. Also the boat is coming up on 10 years old, double the time of the limited warranty on the hose.
