Stripping Paint from Trim Rams

I bought some SEI trim rams because I needed 4 and because they were like 1/4 the price of Merc.

And... they work great! no complaints... except the paint on the rams...?

It looks like it's stainless under the paint..

So. without removing the rams from the hydraulic system (too much hassle), but I can remove from the drive.

How to remove the paint, without damaging the stainless? I think the stainless looks cool!

Would acetone take this crappy paint off?

Why take off the paint? This part is submerged when the boat is in the water.

Because the stainless looks cooler!

Aircraft Remover?! I think it should be harder than that to get rid of a plane...
