Summer is Here

Bottom is painted, hull is buffed and waxed, doing zincs Wednesday, maybe by the weekend? When the sun went down temperature felt like it dropped 20 degrees. It has to get warmer.

I hope so!!! The boating season seems to be getting shorter and shorter up here in the Northeast!!! I'm no where near ready yet. Still have the shrink wrap on and have to do the impellers this year. Ugh!! Hoping for a dry and not so windy summer season.

Seems like what used to be almost a 7 month season is now only 5+. I was hoping for April 21st, now we are almost looking at May 21st!! At least my shrink is high enough I can do my topsides with it covered. If either of you guys want to come up the river June 9th we can use more boats for our Veterans run, New Hamburg to West Point & back for a BBQ. Great activity and reward to our Veterans. LMK

Good Morning, What do you have for power?? I intend to splash today and will e reviewing my impellers also, but rather do in the water. In my yard we keep the water line 5 feet from the ground so 10' ladder is a pain when working on it.

We're in, the party has started! Whoop whoop :D

I'm not so sure crabs can read that sign.

It was 85 here Saturday, then snowed on Monday.... so... yeah.

The tourists flock to the quays in droves which is great but their crab lines aren't. They get caught in props and ruin oil seals when discarded and play absolute havoc with the water fowl. Many a swan has had to be rescued because it's become entangled in discarded lines. Fishermen get a bad rap but the day trip tourists are a real menace. Feeding the seagulls is another bad habit I wish they'd stop. Makes them overtly bold and aggressive.
