Anyone installed the aftermarket from swimplatforms, the description and quality sounds good but I am a little concerned about adding 180 lbs to the end of my pc31.
I put one on a 25 sea ray sun dancer.
The quailty was out standing. I had it put on by a local marine fiberglass
shop and they said at the time it was top notch.
If they had one for my 37 i would have it already.
Huge upgrade. The 180 ponds i think would not bother anyting just stand out back
see what it does still or fill a large cooler up and see what happens.(tied down of course)
180 lbs on the back of a 31PC won't have terrible effects, it has been done quite a few times.
I have a 31PC, and I've stood on the swim platform while underway...(don't ask why, I was testing something) and there was no effect whatsoever. Oh, and I weigh 180 lbs.
Getting on plane MIGHT take a second longer, but other than that...you should be good to go.
TOOFAST,you had allot of faith in the other half while doing that.I do like the look and quality of those extended platforms.Friend did one on a 88 34 searay and it fit perfect. Also the paint match was as close as you can get to the hull.
Back on subject.... I've been talking to the guys at swimplatform.com and they seem easy to work with. When the shrinkwrap comes off in March I'm going to measure my 41 PC for a platform. I want to be able to carry my Zodiac rigged and still be able to exit from the rear of the boat when docking. The sides of the 41 PC are a little high for the admiral to get over when backing into the slip. Plus I have a general "no jumping" rule. PS can't wait to try the death defying high speed lean off the back. Not.
Hey all. First time poster. Waking this post up....
I had platform envy, so I got one of my own. We absolutely LOVE it, used the heck out of it, and highly recommend adding one. Performance wise - it really wasn't that much of a detractor either. VERY good add for sure.
Yeah - I think you could park a Sea Doo back there... ;D But, with the fact that it takes so much hydraulic pressure being at water level, we wanted to make sure it didn't come loose.
It was time for a little updating so I put one on my 1998 252BR along with a wakeboard arch for the kids. Looks great and absolutely love the extra space for putting on skiis/wakeboards etc.

We added one to our 99 400ss last season - the best $ we have spent.
We have purchased twice from swim platforms.com. I highly recommend the upgrade. Both models matched the existing finish of the boats, they fit very well, and the added deck space is priceless. Company is top-notch to work with!
I had one on my 2003 formula 31 PC with roughly 30" of extension with several extra pop up cleats for cooler tie downs, and P handles for the ladder (wife loves this).
the platform was the best purchase for that boat it made the platform a great place with added space.
We now have a 2004 37PC and Swimplatforms is delivering my new platform on 4-1-18.
