Throwable PFD and storage

We always have 2 of the square throw cushions on deck when under way. We just throw them in the aft cabin when we leave the boat.

I have some decent offshore life vests if going out beyond 6- 8 miles or if the seas pick up in the Gulf of Mexico. I have some simple life vests in the cabin and square throwables under every removable seat on the 310 SS, especially under the sunpad at the rear. I also have on both sides throwable ropes if we come across anybody in trouble. Better to be safe than sorry. Fire extinguishers too.

I have 2 throwable square cushions on board, one of which is stored next to the helm seat....always within reach. The other cushion is usually stored beneath the port lounge.

Like most I always have square throwbacks - usually can be stuffed anywhere - but I try to keep them close by when underway. Under the helm...even as a cushion for ur feet to help with vibration fatigue...mine can fit between bolster and throttles too. In most NE states I believe these results coast guard and local authority safety requirements anyway.

In addition, we are also required to have a table ring with a line. Makes sense when a current or winds are involved to have a way to reel someone in.

Thanks for your ideas!

We have a square throwable that we keep stored away, but lay on the cockpit seats when underway.

I just added a 20" orange ring buoy attached to a 75' line rescue throw bag that is stored in the aft lazarette, on top of any gear for quick retrieval after the square throwable is thrown.

I was thinking of getting a throwable ring with my boat name on it. Otherwise just one square cushion.
