Soooo where is the switch for the bilge/engine bay lights...? Iam in Michigan and the boat is in Ohio I bought it in Oct. Ive a very short time to spend on it figuring things out and today i could not for the life of me figure where the engine room light switch is...?
 
Should be on the dash and is likely a two-way toggle switch. Press up for all lights and down for some lights or something like that.
 
I have a 330 and had the same issue, they do come on with cockpit courtesy lights. What I found was that one of the two limit switches the turn them off when the engine hatch is close was stuck in the down position. They are located on the lip of the engine hatch on the port and starboard sides. They are a little plunger switch with a black boot, try pulling each of them up.
 
My 280SS turns on with the cockpit courtesy lights. Be nice if they made a separate switch for the engine room...
