Upgrading 2007 31PC Dash/Wheel

Unforgettable

I have owned my 2007 31PC from day "1". I'm not one to brag but very lucky me ;-)

I have constantly strived to update the boat on an annual basis within economic reason. That said, I am currently thinking of upgrading the Burl-wood dash panels / steering Wheel by wrapping the dash panels with Gray Carbon-fiber 3M wrap buy my challenge is with the Wheel.

I want to stay with a OEM Formula Wheel however think that purchasing a 2018 Wheel may require me to fill out a Mortgage Application ;-) Does anyone know where I can purchase a newer OEM Formula Wheel that may have a Gray Carbon-fiber look to it?

I anxiously await any response/direction. Many thanks the Forums invaluable input/help!

I had the same issue with mine. I ended up getting an aftermarket wheel vs paying for Formula's. I haven't regretted it since.

I went to my local Advanced Auto Parts and bought a steering wheel cover which is beige and "wood" and matches the wood on my dash....for $12! Best $12 bucks I have spent in a long time!

Snap! a steering wheel cover! And I've even seen neoprene ones I really like. Why the heck didn't I think of that?! I even use a wheel cover on my Tahoe! UGH!

OFF TO WALMART!

Robcam, did you have to change you Teleflex Tilt helm from a splined shaft to a Keyed tapered shaft? I just bout the Isotta wheel for my 31PC and I have to replace that part, not that big of a deal and it only costs another $120 or so for a new one.

I ended up changing out the helm to the new style along with the Isotta steering wheel and updated the Carling switch covers that are on the new Formula boats. Here are a few pictures.

Very nice! What material did you choose for the dash panels? With no chart plotter, that doesn't look like the original dash.
Also, I noticed on my boat (07 34PC), the steering wheel is centered when the wheel is turned to the left about 110 degrees. I'd like to re-orient the steering wheel. Is that difficult? Does the center "hub" cover just pop off?
Thanks!

Yes the center hub just pops off. Use a socket to remove the nut, pull off the wheel and shift it to the required position and reverse the process. As simple as it can get IMHO

MY dash panels are original and since it was on a lake in Texas the previous owner didn't have GPS. I actually just bought two new panels from Formula so I can center the new Garmin 7610 and I getting rid of the speedo and moving the RPM gauges over to where the depth finder currently is. I wish the panels where cheaper but I am super anal and want it set-up my way. They should mount them from the factory to the left or right......not right in the center.

I looked at moving some stuff around, and replacing Tach/Speedo with a VesselView. Seems the original panel pattern (birdseye maple like) is no longer available. Which means, if I replace one panel, I have to recover all of them.

Are you saying Formula doesn't have these dash panels available anymore? I was hoping to replace the old C80 chartplotter and remove the ST60 and use whoever MFD I decide and not concern myself trying to make it finish with existing cutout.

It's the panel covering from my 2007 34PC which is no longer available. The panels are not a big deal. order from Formula or have them cut by a local shop. The covering is what is no longer made for mine. I would have to recover all of the panels.
