Very little participation on the forum....

It's sad to see, even as a nube, that this forum is so inactive. Was there ever a time when it was thriving more? Just curious! Forums are fantastic mediums to pass on knowledge and what not! I hope things pick up soon, I'm eager to learn as much as I can from you all!

Thanks

I think like any forum there are those who are active, there are those who lurk and this who only pop in to ask a question. It would be interesting to see how many active members are on here, and how many have vanished or moved on elsewhere.

In summer, most people are boating and don't spend a lot of time here. During the winter as projects kick up and people start dreaming of larger boats, you'll see more participation.

I agree with SeaSkip, summer is a slow forum time. Plus as a forum matures, a lot members find what they're looking for through searches rather than a new post.

So as a active member....SeaSkip and afratki are right on...

I also think that this forum tends to be less social and more about getting things done. If there is a problem and someone answered it, rarely will others just post for fun. I often come on and see lots of stuff, and only if I can add value do I.

If you need help and no one is answering....ask again and I am sure we can help.

Catch you soon!

Hello. Anyone here? If so will you be my friend? LOL,.... there’s a lot of good and friendly members here with a wealth of knowledge

Social media has killed the forums. Also....people are out on the water enjoying their boats.

This is a great forum for Formula unique questions. There are knowledgeable folks on many other subjects just not as many as other forums which are not brand specific. Just like the other forums, (insert manufactures name) they to have on/off folks that show up. I try to look in every time it gets slow over at iboats, spend most my time there.

Ok i'm here now wassup?

Observation: Just purchased our first Formula (in June) after years of owning SeaRays: the ClubSR forum is very active with lots of forum subcategories. This one seems limited especially discussions on purchase decisions and newer boats. Also, I see lots of Formulas in NY but no forum for NY boaters? It would be great to meet up w/ NY Formula owners and get some local discussions or outings going....

I don't think your wrong with your observation. Participation has fallen off, and its not because of the summer. Winter months it is like a ghost town around here as well. Don't get me wrong, these are very useful sites for information, and definitely have helped me out a lot, but seems people only post now when they have an issue and want advice on a repair. No one is really posting about what they are doing, where they are going, or how they are enjoying their Formulas. As a member of the Formula Owners of NJ club, every season our goal is to try to meet new people, more Formula owners. We post on here, other boating forums, we have our own website, we're on Facebook and Instagram. Activity on all forms of media is almost non-existent.

Prime example, we posted on this site about our 7th Annual Birds on the Bay Formula Owners Rendezvous, inviting anyone who was interested. We only got 7 posts on that thread. 5 of the 7 posts were from me, bumping it up to be sure others see it. The other 2 were from IDCE, who is the founder of the club. Not a single post from any owner outside the Formula Owners of NJ club. Now TS Hermine, had other plans for us that weekend, but here we are giving Formula Owners something to do on a very popular boating weekend. It's a way to reach out and meet others who share a common interest in boating and the Formula brand. Just no interest from anyone. Maybe this is just an off year, but think we can all definitely do better to make this more an active and exciting site.

This forum by far is the slowest of any I've been a member of...I ask questions and never get replies. Too bad since we all run the baddest boats on the water!

Don’t get yourself down my friend will get there, I agree but there are good members with a life time of knowledge and a willingness to help which is a good (grate) thing, I noticed most members are just reading the posts and not participating and the ones that are will participate in their own category (Florida, new jersey, Super/Sun Sport Owners,) and so on, I agree we have the members you can tell just looking at the views on a post (5 replies | 73 view(s)/ 9 replies | 467 view(s)) and on and on, the answer is? I have no clue. Maybe someone will have a good idea and chime in

I look forward to this forum and just recently became a Formula owner again. Yea! It was definitely a busier forum a few years ago. I can't wait to finally participate with Birds on the Bay. Next year I guess now. I am hoping to get a few weeks in with the new boat. It's still up in NY state. Working on a transport time. Party on!

I look forward to joining the following! I'm honestly honored to be a formula owner, they are badass boats and I'm glad we found our F3. So i'll keep posting and look forward to the future. We are moving to Madison, Wisconsin this spring!
