Through the bottom!!! :D

Placement is going to really depend on where you can best bit the seacock and avoid everything else. The obvious things are stringers, strakes, etc etc. I know my 260 has a thru-hull installed from the factory - I am assuming Formula offered the same for the 330SS. It may be prudent to give them a call and see where they installed from the factory for that model.

I have one on my starboard engine ...it's a 2005 33ss with 496 mags the seacock is in the bilge about a foot forward and a little port of the crankshaft pulley. Its great if you hit shallow water no sand gets sucked up thru outdrive which happens on my port engine with no raw water intake.....

The 'best' location would be as close to the transom as possible, maybe within a foot or two, and a bit up from the keel. . . . However, the engines being in the way do not make that location easily accessible for a retrofit.

As an alternative, you could be about 3 feet from the transom and still have a decent location, and better access for installing the thru-hull pickup. Your key concern would be 'catching some air' in rougher sea/lake conditions.
