Weaver Davits

I have a 2010 34 PC that I am thinking of installing the Weaver snap Davit model number RBS100. I have an Achilles 10?2 inflatable. I contacted Formula support and they say at best the thickness is around 1?. I am thinking of using the toggle bolts weaver sells since I will be securing the brackets from the top of the swim platform. Has anyone used the weaver davits and do I have enough thickness to support the brackets and the inflatable. Thanks in advance

I have had the Weaver removable davits custom ordered for my 2005 37 PC since I bought it. Excellent Have Achilles 9ft 6in dinghy.Standoffs etc. Never a problem..Full access to swim platform etc. Easy to pull up Also motor with Weaver Leaver.. I dont know what screws were used though but ,....If you send your email address I will send pictures. Mine is seadoc2@aol.com

Email address sent. Do you have a backing plate attached?
 
I've got an '04 34PC and put in backing plates for my davits. Its not impossible to get to the stern most portion of the swim platform as long as you don't mind laying on top of your motor. Definitely 2 person job to get everything bolted up.

I had Weaver system on a 1995 34 ft PC as well as my current boat..2005 37 PC The works..snap off davits, standoffs Also my inflatable is Achilles 10'2" Excellent system for us. Traversed all kinds of weather inn the Gulf as well as inland coastal waterways Secured from inside the engine room however.. Not sure of what was used. to secure but is rock solid!!!
 
I live 3 hours away but will ask my marine tech to look . But I feel certain that there is a backing plate even though difficult to reach.
