Westerbeke Gen Anode Replacement

Has anyone tried to replace their own anode on the 11.5 generator? In the manual, it appears to be very easily accessible, but on the boat, it?s not at all easily accessible. I was hoping someone who has done this, might have a tip or trick to getting in there. I?m thinking it?s going to be necessary to removed the right hand soundproofing panel to access from that side of the heat exchanger, in addition to the front.

I just did mine and it was right in front. I took the front sound proofing off and it was right there.

It is right there, maybe I?m over thinking it, just seems like I need miniature fingers and tools to get in there. Will give it a shot tomorrow!

It is right there. I thought it was on the underside; not sure what the nut is directly opposite the anode, but yes the anode is absolutely accessible. The book doesn?t mention using and Emory cloth on the anode, prior to installing it, did you just pop it in, as is?
