I do not have a Raydome. I just started to look at mounts and have not picked one out yet. I was not sure I needed one since I cannot remember how much space is up there. My boat is wrapped right now so it will be a few weeks before I figure that part out. My boat has a main cabin tv and aft cabin tv. I plan to display the same channel on both since I'm going with one receiver. Castines has already installed this on his boat and has been kind enough to help me with a few questions.

I have the same setup as you. Once I get the nerve to drill into the Corian, I am going to install a TV next to the sink in the cockpit.

Drill into the wall instead. Ad an AC outlet with cable connection.

The KVH install is complete. I took Castines advice and also have a line run that sits under my sink in cockpit in case we wanna watch a ballgame outside. Total install took two of us 6 hours to install. Of course the guy that did the heavy lifting had done several and I only assisted. Ended up using a simple GPS mount that the KVH screwed into and it basically sits flush on the arch. Re located the all around light to starboard side and placed by radio antenna. Install looks great. A total not needed waste of money, but man its neat being able to watch Yanks/Sox on the boat.

While running in 3 footers! ;D

What's the monthly service fee? That's what kills that for me, I don't look at it as a small monthly charge anymore, I add it up and look at it on an annual basis and that's enough to keep me sat TV free. ;-)

That all depends. If you are already a directv customer, then all you are doing is adding another receiver and your cost is $5.99 per month for the same programming as home.

Ahhh gotcha, that's well worth it then. We do not have DirectTV but if we did, another $5.99 to have it on the boat is money well spent.

Sorry it took so long for the pic, but here you go. Not sure you can tell in the pic or not, but the KVH dome is centered perfectly on the arch.
