Windlass? Alarm

Ok. 31 pc 2005. Using windlass to retrieve anchor I got a steady alarm. Seemed to disappear when I increased revs a little on port engine. Is this a battery issue? Appreciate comments
 
^^^^^ This! Windlass uses a lot of power. If your battery is marginal it could bring in a low voltage alarm. Increasing RPM would increase available power to windlass.
 
I would also double check all of the connections on the windlass to make sure that they are clean and not corroded.
