Window Tinting

Have any of you had additional tinting done to your boats? Living in Florida, the sun shining through our front window in our cockpit can be brutal. Our 30k AC has to work hard to keep up in the summer. There are a few companies that offer tinting products but it?s expensive. We?re very interested in a tint made by by 3M called Sea Cool but want unbiased reviews before committing to having the job done. Would appreciate hearing from some people who have experienced window treatment both before and after tinting.
Thanks

So it seems that no one here has tried Sea Cool. I would love to get feedback before spending almost $4,000 to have the tint done.
Thanks

I have had great success with 3M products in a commercial building application. I am sure if you contact your dealer, they will give references of jobs that they have performed on other boats. My only concern would be scratching. Good Luck and let us know what you find out.

The side windows on my previous 48 Sundancer were tinted and it helped keep my cockpit much cooler that other 48's that I anchored out with. I have not added it to my 45 Yacht as of yet but intend to have it done next year. Not only does it keep the cockpit cooler I believe that is make the profile of the boat look better as well.

What did you end up doing?
