Windshield frame on 2006 353....

Has anyone refinished the frame of the wind shield on a 353 FasTech...mine is peeling and I'm thinking of using POR 15 or Imron to re-finish....I am not even gonna attempt to take it apart.....gonna sand, and tape..... also gotta do the grab handles on the seat bolsters.....can't get them off so will do them in place. Ideas welcome! thanks, Eric
