Winterize 350 ss left in the water

I am planning on leaving my 350 ss in the water for the winter at Lake Cumberland. I know I have to winterize the water system, the water heater, the a/c, the generator and the raw water portion of the engine cooling.

Any tips or guides would be great.

Thanks, Mike

I use a compressor and regulator for the water system. Once the water starts spitting and water heater is dry, remove line coming from the water tank and connect air line, set pressure to 30 psi. Open up valves and let the water start coming out, don't forget the head. While doing that I'm changing oil and other things.

You should have closed system and assuming no sea strainers except for Gen and A/C.

The hose from the drive will need to be removed from the pump. The hose will need to be lifted up and tied off up high long side the motor. Some will use a short piece of PVC to stick inside intake hose.

Get a deicer/bubbler to place under the hull.

Blow air out thru the sea strainers, then use a shop vac to suck out excess water left behind

Can you take the hose off from the pump with the boat in the water? What hose is it? Hard to see without knowing what I am looking for!

Yes you can take it off and water will start coming out, this is why it needs to be lifted up besides the motor to get the end higher. Using a pvc pipe to stick inside with a clamp gives more room to bring it up, but can also get in the way if to long.

There are 2 hoses on the pump, one soft and one hard walled. The hard wall line goes to the drive, and needs to come off the pump end. The hard wall hose is normally on the bottom
