Yanmar 440 6LY2A engine mounts

Has anyone had to replace their engine mounts? My shafts are showing signs that the motors have some play, about 1/2" on each side of the cutlass bearings is highly polished.
The mechanic is recommending switching them all out being a 2005 40 PC (900 hours each). Just the parts are $3100...yikes.
They'll have to drop the shafts and jack the motors per the yard.

Thanks, yes I am looking for options. Once I assess the condition of each mount I will call TAG also.

After conferring on Boat Diesel and with TAG I'm replacing all 8 mounts. Work began today in fact.
The yard came back with some slightly better pricing so all in I should be under $5000.
