Well its time after 12 years to break down engines. All engine coolers will be sent out next week to be cleaned out. Has anyone done this service? Engines have 1200 excellent running hours on them with just basic maintance on them. We will see how it goes.
I've done the intercoolers, I pulled them and had a radiator shop clean them. They weren't as dirty as I expected, they would have been fine to leave, I only had about 500 hours at the time.
I know it is time for me. When I push starboard engine over 2500 rpm the temp starts to climb slowly.
At idle the low water sensor starts going on and off.
