    anchor washdown hose

On my boat the end of the hose pushes into to the receiving connector -- it takes a little force because the water line is pressurized by the freshwater pump. To remove, you have to slide the collar of the receiving connector down away from the coiled hose to release the hose.

    Cleaning White Mercury Outboards

A quick before and after shot of the white Mercury 400R outboards on my 430SSC showing the removal of the dirt/grease that collects under the black port on the back of the engine. I used Starbrite Ultimate Xtreme Clean and a sponge on a telescoping handle. Worked great!

    E-bikes on 430SSC

Just in case anyone else is considering something similar, I thought I would post these pictures of my two e-bikes on the swim platform of my 430SSC. The factory offers stand-up paddle board holders as an option. But when I was ordering my boat I asked if they could provide a mount for my...

    Inflatable Dinghy in the 430SSC

When we had the Formula 45 we liked having the tender along on some of our weekend trips to get to shore from a mooring or to explore the shallows. Now, with the 430 SSC, there is no possibility to keep a tender onboard and I don’t think I’d like to tow all the time. So, I bought an inflatable...

    Swim Platform Fake Teak Removal

I did this on my 2015 45Y and regretted it. The project started by wanting to replace the stock dinghy chocks because they were trip hazards on the swim platform. So I got drop-in chocks instead which worked great but then there were two white flat metal bars left on the platform from the...

Hi all - I sold my 2015 Formula 45 at the end of 2021 when I ordered my 430 SSC at the Newport boat show. I visited the factory in Decatur with my two sons during construction which was a neat experience and took delivery of ?Crowd Pleaser? in May?22. It was a great summer learning about and...

    intermittent horn problem

Hi Peter- Since you invited wild speculation, I’ll provide this photo of what’s behind my cockpit fridge. I took it to document the water and wiring setup for an eventual fridge replacement, but, I wonder what the red thing at the top of the picture might be? Could that be the air compressor...

    Cockpit Ice Maker

Are you sure the freezer section is cold enough? My cockpit fridge was not getting cold enough. I replaced the gasket which did help. But if it is sitting in the sun with a high outside temp it still struggles to get cold enough. I put SensorPush sensors in both fridges and a couple of other...

    Cockpit Ice Maker

There is a valve behind the cockpit fridge. This is a picture of what’s behind the fridge and you can see the blue water line and the black valve that transitions into the clear tubing that runs to the ice maker.

    Transom Measurements

Congratulations! It’s a great boat. We got ours last fall. Here is a picture of our transom and the specifics of the name size. Hopefully that helps. https://share.icloud.com/photos/07GE1grq5fvaSvemDqHHccAIQ#Fall_River_-_Broadway

Pop-up Chocks on Swim Platform for Tender

Installed these Pinsdrop chocks yesterday. I like them a lot and especially like getting rid of the trip hazard when the tender is not on the platform. Now I just need to figure out how to remove the old white aluminum bars.

    Apple TV Installed

I just competed a pretty simple upgrade by adding an Apple TV to the main TV in the salon. I?m sharing the steps in case others in interested. 1. Remove the bench seat to access the storage area underneath. 2. Remove the back of the seat that is right under the TV. There are three studs...

    E-bike on 45 Yacht

My wife and I really enjoy our Elby e-bikes, but, they are full size and not really suitable for putting on the boat when we want to go exploring after we dock someplace. So, I just bought a foldable RadMini Step-Thru 2 with the idea of trying it out. If we like it, the goal would be to take 2...

Pop-up Chocks on Swim Platform for Tender

I just bought my Formula 45 last fall and I don't really like the factory chocks on the swim platform. They seem like a real trip hazard (when the tender is not mounted). I was looking around and saw the pop-up chocks from SeaLift. Does anyone have any experience with them? They offer...
