I did the work in place. I used some various pieces of wood to hold it in place while the PSA and epoxy setup. I used a couple of ratching rods to hold the wood up n place. It really was pretty easy to do.
Some states have special oversize towing permits that allow towing with less restrictions than regular oversize permits. I know Arizona had an Annual Watercraft Permit when we lived there. It would allow up to 10’ beam and more hours on the road than the regular oversize permits. But with 11’...
Not familiar with that particular model but rest assured that Formula is an exceptional boat. We have a 98 41PC and the support from Formula is outstanding.
I would find a good local canvas shop and have them fabricate the top for you. We actually had a shop do our full canvas and vinyl seats for our 41PC. I usually did it myself but my fingers have too much arthritis now to do that much sewing. Ask around at the local marinas for...
On my 41PC the condensate drains into the sump in the engine room. The sinks drains go into the sump also. My sump box was broken apart when I bought the boat so I had a new one made. I have 4 or 5 drains that go into the sump, don’t remember exactly which. Then the sump drained to a pump...
The group 29 deep cycles are likely in the area of 115 AHs. As to how long they will last it depends on the load you are putting on them. Also with LA batteries you don’t want to use more than 50%. You need to either calculate or measure the normal load and then you can use 50% of your...
Is there a place in the forward bulkhead to put an access hatch? With my access hatch on the port side, on Cummins that is the bad one, the mechanic changed the impeller in about 10 minutes.
BTW, Matt, congratulations on your new Formula!
I have the Cummins diesels so they are different. The port engine raw water pump is very tough. Formula put in a small access hatch in the aft cabin bulkhead but it was way to small to work through so I cut a larger hole and put in a bigger hatch. The mechanic was able to get to it fairly...
My windlass wasn’t working. I started in the bow but had no voltage there. Looking at the wiring diagram I saw a solenoid in the stern port side. We would activate the power switch on the dash and could hear it click but still now power out of the solenoid. It is a continuous duty solenoid...
