Another showroom/dealership closes?


I also do not have a dealership within shouting distance (Tampa Bay) but I knew that and understood the implications when I purchased my Formula. Locally Sea Ray monopolizes everything, but I felt that Formula makes a much better boat and was willing to deal with any warranty headaches. There have been 3 recalls on my 2011 400SS, all brought to my attention by the factory or the product manufacturer (in my case Mercury Engines). In each case, with a minimum amount of effort on my part, the factory or Mercury has stepped in and taken care of the problem. More importantly, they maintain a network of local factory approved mechanics. In one case, I asked them to deal (pay) with my electronics guy on a repair because I trusted him and they had no issue with that. That being said, it pays to evaluate anyone working on your boat regardless of who recommends or approves him.
