There are always get togethers with Sea-Rays tying up around the Barnegat Bay area, however there are a lot of Formula's cruising around. July 24th is going to be Birds on the Bay Formula Rendezvous on Barnegat Bay a Formula Owners organized event!

We will rendevous at Captain's Inn Dock Bar on the Forked River for breakfast at 9am and then do a cruisie to Tices Shoal and get some footage and pics of the boats cruising over. Once over there we will pick a comfy spot to start our Formula raft up. From noon to 5pm there will be bands out there on a barge for Thunder 98.5 FMs BAY BASH! So this should be a fun filled day for us.

Here's a pic of a few boats we usually are tied with. If anyone knows another Formula friend ask them to join too. Obviously no PC/SS/Fastech predjudice especially since I have a PC lol.

Will look out for you, have a 40PC, cannot get in too close at all....will be looking around on a red Kawasaki jet ski!
 
Hi there again new facebook friend. We have a handful of fastechs now on offshoreonly.com under the formula section that are planning on making it from all over. How far do you usually go in because we can always make arrangements to include you. Do you have IPS or the standard sterndrive?
 
Birds on the Bay Formula Rendevous on Barnegat Bay, NJ is on July 24th. We are meeting up at the Captain's Inn Dock Bar on the Forked River for breakfast at 9AM. After breakfast we are having a cruise over to Tices Shoal in which we will raft up and spend the day on the bay. Thunder 98.5fm will also be out there wit h live bands playing all day long.

This sounds like a plan, but 9am?? whoa!!! The Captains is a great place. What channel will you guys be monitoring?
I would like to try to meet up w/ everyone @ the Inn or @ Tices, depending on how the morning goes. will anyone be heading
south from the Goose Creek area of Toms River?

Yes 9am is a little bit early but we are going to rendevous there have a nice breakfast then get some nice pics and vids cruising over to Tices. Tices will be rather busy because of the Bay Bash too so it should be a blast. Also when we are all together at Capts we can organzie our raft up and get a feel of what boats we are working with. Speaking of which what boats do you guys have? Also i'm not going to lie i don't monitor any channels lol.
 
I hope we can make the whole day event. We have a 271 fastech and it's looking like we will have a full boat.
BTW, how much ice do you think we'll need?
 
Also, is anyone planning on registering for this wknds 'shore dreams for kids' event in Seaside?
Its worth a look into, and I think there is still room for more boats. Its a great cause.
 
Well we are gettings plugs on thunder 98.5fm from my friend that does the morning show. Hopefully we have a good turnout.
 
we had just filled up and were heading to the 'shore dreams...' when I heard a 'rattle', so i powered down and a buddy towed us in.
she starts, goes into gear, fluids, gauges.....all good.. But I dont like the knock/rattle coming from the transom. I think it may be somthing with
the gimble back there. We used 2 jetskis to tow it to the local marina this evening. My friend from kurts marine will pick it up Monday morn. we will see.
wish me luck. I'll keep posting with updates.
 
Ah man that stinks if its the gimble its no big deal did plenty of those. Let me know how you make out.
 
i stripped a gear. the boat planes like a pig. that may have done me in b/c the gear oil was like sludge from the heat.
My boat guy/friend thinks i may benefit by going from a 1.65 gear ratio to a 1.5 and go with a bigger prop. I am going to search the forum for some feedback.
either way, i think they are going to throw on another drive (1.5) to get me out there this weekend. I should probably up my boat US account to ' unlimited!!!
 
DOH! well anything can be fixed and something that doesn't keep you on land for the weekend isn't that bad. Keep me posted.
