I splashed

Ripped it up this weekend...April in Lake George proved to be awesome! Sunny, 70 and the Dog ran like a champ!!

IT'S ON!

Well, splash weekend was over, and I wish it wouldnt' happened.

The weather ended up being decent, but I ended up with some kind of gasket failure on my port seawater impeller pump. Not leaking under way, but when the engine is shut off...leaking about a gallon every 15 minutes.

WORSE thing is, the Marina could not lift due to me finding the leak late in the day on Sunday....so now I only pray my bilge pump saves the night. PLUS I HAD to go out of town (or risk my job). So the boat sits, slowing taking on water until the Marina Mechanics dig into tomorrow morning. I won't clutter this post with follow up questions, but if you want to join my misery see my posts in the engine section and cruiser sections...

Yikes. Make sure the boat is plugged in and the battery charger is on.

YES for sure....even manally checked the float switch and high water alarm. Our bilge pumps are plenty big enough to handle this small leak...but man it is still going to be a long night.

Well...the Marina was not able to pull the boat due to winds. However the leak seemed to have slowed down. I went out last night and sure enough the water was up to the pumps, but they did the job. I shop vaccumed about 25 gallons that were below the bilge import.

I am going this weekend to try and fix myself!

I added a picture of launch day....brings a smile to my face.
