Lake Erie and areas!


We headed up river this year also, made it as far up as Lexington, MI on Lake Huron. Did some stops on the way up, Gibraltar (SSBC), St Clair Shores, North Channel Yacht Club and then St Clair. On the way back down stopped at Metro Beach and then Elb Mar BC on Grosse Ile then to Middle Bass and PIB, great trip and stops. Someone on the FB Group is collecting interest in a Formula gathering up on Lake St Clair but have not see anything on that yet.

 
So glad that you were able to make that trip. Best stops? As a "local" I'd like to know what lived up to the expectations that I set for you...
 
Our stop at Algonac was hampered by rain, but was during the weekend of the Antique and Classic boat show in June. While attendance was down, it was cool seeing the boats there. As an admirer of classic wooden boats, this was a great place to be. Saint Clair was nice and the weather was beautiful.

I highly recommend Lexington to everyone. Small Town with tons of charm and great places to eat. We even went to church there.

I want to go further this year, but am playing wait and see due to the fuel prices.
