very true , I wish I had opened the access cover that was mentioned by Alldodge but i was unaware it was there at the time. I could have maybe spotted if the leak was the sender gasket. The fuel smell was fairly strong inside cabin, and that with some of the other issues with the boat, I was getting a real bad feeling about the boat. I figured it was time to move on and keep looking.

Totally fair - if there were other things that just didn't seem right, its better to walk than get stuck with problems. Or you could totally low ball the seller with all the possible things in mind and then you could potentially come out on top. I did that with mine and have certainly come out on the positive side.

I can handle any of the mechanical/electrical work on a boat, but really don t want to be cutting a fuel tank out if I can avoid it, at any price, lol. I also have a boat now with no issues, so not in a rush, I just need to be patient find the right one.
