Winterizing 330SS Air conditioner

On my 02 330 SS , I tryed to back feed the antifreeze to winterize my A/C unit thru the A/C exit under the swim platform.
I got a good seal, but the antifreeze just came back in my face.
I had winterized my past boat with no problem for years by pumping antifeeze thru the exit with a drill pump
I ended up feeding it thru the sea strainer.

Question is, is there a one way valve on the exit of the A/C under the swim platform?
wondering why system would not take the antifreeze

thanks

Works for me.

Unclear why your discharge is under the swim platform though. Mine was on the starboard side below the fuel fill.

Never tried going in reverse back thru the AC, seams it would have issue going thru the pump.

The pump should be magnetic driven and when power is removed the vanes spin freely. Did your boat come standard with A/C or was it installed after the fact? I thinking afterwards I've always seen the discharge out the side, not the transom.

My AC is factory and the discharge is under the swim deck. The only ones that are not under the swim deck is Gen discharge and anchor locker

Next year , I’m going to try a Seaflush funnel to winterize the a/c and generator thru the strainers.

I agree I saw a buddy of mine use it unfortunately it's too tall to work under the hatch of the 40 PC so make sure you make sure you have access on top......

I didn't have time to wait for the sea flush funnel to come in, so I just pulled the 3/4 hose off the seacock and attached it to a 3/4 hose barb fitting. Pumped the antifreeze right through the system, then reinstalled the hose.

I used the shop vac to suck water out of the sea strainer first.

If you can’t fit the seaflush system here is a pic of my homemade flush unit for a/c strainer. I bought an extra strainer cover, drilled and tapped for street elbow , added ball valve and hose adapter. You can flush out with hose and city water. Then I took a 5 gal pail drilled and put hose fittings up high, one has pickup hose to bottom the other is for return line if you want to flush systems out with chemicals that recirculate. I place antifreeze in5 gal pail and hook up 12v pump suction to pail and pump discharge hose to whatever system I want to pump antifreeze into. ( water system , a/c system etc. 469276D1-4F13-4688-9E14-AE7923DD0074.jpg

Google the strainer brand you have and make sure correct size.
I bought the extra because I have three strainers the same size.

Go the Home Depot and get a circulator flange that mounts the circulator to the pipes it fits right on the strainer all you have to do get a reducer, hose adapter and gasket your done.
