Bringing a 2002 37PC back to life

Next on my list is to replace the the canvas. I decided to go with black and add a screen insert to the front walk out. this will give me better air circulation. I also have broken the front and back sections into three separate pieces to make it easier to put up and take down.

Simple investment that has made an amazing difference is getting the carpets and drapes professionally cleaned. Looks and smells great!!!

Looks great! Who did the cleaning (I'm on south shore LI too) and what was the cost?

I used The Carpet Cleaning Guy. They did great work and were extremely professional. The number is 631 588 2793. I don't recall the cost at this point but the carpet in my 37PC was below their minimum job size so I had to pay for a larger amount. (Totally worth it!) They did the carpet, my boarding map. and steam cleaned the drapes between the boat sections. It made everything look great but just as importantly it smells great!!

If i were to do it again I would ask another boat next to yours to do it too. That would get you over the minimum size and bring the cost down a bit.

Small fixes to keep her getting newer by the year. Replaced part of the shower that keeps the shower head in place.

So I have upgraded my stereo head unit and already have a big of regret. I upgraded to the same manufacturer to allow for easy replacement but think I may upgrade again to Fusion Marine. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Does the new head unit work with the wired controller at the helm? Assuming you have one. That's the only reason to stick with the Kenwood. That and the price point compared to fusion.

I do have the remote on the helm but I am really interested in with wireless control fusion has on the iPhone. then i can control my radio from the dock. I also am considering adding two speakers to the transom.

Does the kenwood remote on the helm control the new radio?

I went with a Clarion unit due to the price of the Fusion unit and the Kenwood unit is too complicated to use. I have a wired remote and a wireless remote that is waterproof. I can stream my bluetooth from anywhere on the boat and the wireless remote works anywhere also. I got the whole setup for around $400.

What model clarion head unit and controller, did you purchase?

I bought the M303 receiver, MW1 wired controller and the MF1 remote. The remote is basic and feels kind of cheap but I end up using it all the time. The wired remote buttons are hard to push but that has worked out so my 2 year old can't easily change the stations. You can stream bluetooth really easily.

So the weather has warmed up here in the New York area. This allowed for my brand new canvas to be finished!! Excited to get her in the water.

The canvas really makes a big difference. Looks good. Are you planning to treat with 303 or other fabric protector?

Also added new covers for my ignition. Small cosmetic changes.

Its been some time since I have updated this thread but its that time of the season and the upgrades are in full swing. This year i have upgrade the carpet to the new Marineweave from Snapincarpet. They already have the templates and it took a very short time.

Reviewing the templates:
