Can you comment yet on how the new carpet retains heat? Does it get warm or hot as hell in direct sunlight? Also curious how the Seadek coordinates with the carpet.

I purchased a carpet that is very dark with black and dark colors. I can say that in direct sun it can heat up. Certainly more than the original carpet. If I had it in constant direct sunlight (Like on a swimplatform) i would probably go with a lighter color. Since mine is usually under the canvas its not bad. It has never been bad enough that it bothered me. If it ended up in the "hot as hell" category i would have been annoyed. So for it has not been bad.

Regarding the look with the Seadek, I am installing the Seadek in the next two weeks and will take a pic. I got delayed on that installation. Hopefully it looks nice... :)

I'm pretty sure we'd need a color that is considerably lighter, lots of direct sunlight here over the summer with highs in the 95-100 degree range. It's been the sole reason why we haven't gone with any particular floor covering yet, can't find anything that doesn't get hot in direct sunlight. Don't want carpet and not willing to spend a fortune for some of the other products out there.

true. I dont get a lot of 100 degree days. i could throw my temp gun on it this summer and give some readings but more like 80 weather.

Nice work you've done! How did those DC gold speakers work out for you?

I LOVE the DC Gold Speakers! I took some time to learn how sound works and how speakers are built, DC Gold is the real deal. I would have put them in the arch as well but the are too deep to fit without looking rough so i used JL Audio. I have actually purchased a second set to install on the swim platform due to the clear sound and being truly 100% waterproof (They will play underwater). The only negative I have against them is the ascetics vs JL Audio and others. DC Gold only has a metal mesh grill.

Hey TrueNorth, can I get more details how to remove the old rocker switches? I don't want to break the ones I have, but I need to remove them in order to remove the plastic facing that surrounds the switches.

Its been a while since I put them in but they were very easy to remove. I do recall being concerned i would snap the base but it never occurred. The rocker switch cover is attached to the rocker by two clasps on the sides directly in middle. a small head screwdriver sliding up underneath and twisting the flat head to push the clasp out and then the cover pops off. Hope that helps.

So I have finally gotten the TV finished by adding an HD antenna for channels. I went with the Glomex with automatic gain control amplifier. This gave me a great picture and I don't need to deal with the gain.

I looked at the Formula Skins but they are a fortune and only come in white. I interviewed local shops until i found one I liked. He also upgraded the foam for a nicer ride as well.
They sure do! Are the skins from Formula?
