1st Annual Middle Bay Rendezvous!!

I just lost a drive coupler over the weekend... :( 2-3 weeks downtime for me. I hope I'm back for this!

man, that sucks! good luck getting her squared away. at least you have a few weeks of summer left, and hopefully plenty of time to get back in the water for the rendezvous!

We plan on being there.
awesome! glad to have you. can you post boat name, model and # crew? also do you plan to overnight in the marina or anchored out? and will ya be joining us for dinner? you can also PM me on this if you like...

see ya there!

Todd, we have been chatting via email and our home marina is Ferry Point. I have yet to confirm who is coming as we need to see how the fall baseball schedule works out. Either way we will be there for a good part of the day.

We're excited to have the get together in the Magothy. We would like to be included in either a raft for the night or stay in a marina depending on the group's thoughts.

Drive Coupler repaired! We will be there! We actually scoped it out Saturday. Nice location.
Are there any restaurants nearby?

Ha! We saw you. I was the guy who yelled over "nice Formula".

The Point Crabhouse is really good and, for whoever wants to, where the group plans to have dinner on the day of the rendezvous. There's also Deep Creek Restaurant on Deep Creek off the Magothy.

time for an update as we're just under 4 weeks away!!!

we've had an awesome response...we're up to 24 boats! that includes 5 45Y's, a couple of CBR's, and I think 3 boats delivered in the last month! where's my first ASC?!?

if you're staying overnight, contact Matt at Ferry Point soon. I'm working with him to make sure everyone is good to go. we have plenty of room for now, but if we keep growing, we might have to add a second marina.

The Point is still our place for dinner as it's attached to the marina. if you're planning to go there for dinner, please let me know. dinner is on your own, but i want to help the restaurant plan for the number of people we'll be bringing.

down to counting the days. hopefully the sun comes back, and it feels a bit more like summer, but we're very excited for the rendezvous! can't wait to see everyone there...

Andrew and I just compared notes and we're up to 35 boats total! 18 of which say they are definitely in...looking good!

i tried to put the following into post #1, but it won't take. just wanted the pertinent information to be in one place...
Important tidbits…
Raft-up at the horse farm, aka eagle cove, aka skier’s cove, aka Holland Point or Purdy Point. now you know why i used GPS coords.

Anyone have a start time. Want to be early. Wouldn't want to miss anything!!!!

We are lucky enough to have a large Formula banner we'll fly from an antenna when we get there.

Convert others from the dark side.

official start time will be noon...i've heard a few say they may be there earlier though...

Thanks. Sounds great. We will be there before that, but will not pick the anchorage, will wait for someone else to do that. Great at following but hate leading.

Is the plan to pile into a boat for dinner? There didn't seem to be much dock space?
Also, what time is dinner, I'm fat so I'm hungry. lol

Just me and the wife - Other friend's boat broke :(.
