1st Annual Middle Bay Rendezvous!!

Took the boat out Saturday from Back River. Made it near Dock of the bay before saying F_that and heading back. Debris EVERYWHERE. Passed an entire floating TREE.

There are ACRES of material jammed at the Conowingo. Yesterday, they had at least 10 gates opened. It appears they are trying to lift out some of the material, but there is just so much. Be prepared for more dodging....

Well good evening my CB compadres. Guessing the 29th may be a wash as well? I've been traveling most to all summer and little time on our floating cottage....
Would be awesome to raft up... if just for the day. Glad to see all the Ches Bay members coming out. Been lonely down here at HHS. Keep the gang apprised w/ any updates. Cheers, Mike

I gave up on this season :( Pulling the boat the 23rd. :(
Made an active decision to run as long as we could this season, since last I could not, and apparently the bay had other plans...

i still have my fingers crossed...the weather isn't exactly great boating weather as of now, but a 7 day forecast seems to be asking a bit much. between that and the debris, we may cancel, but if we do i've already decided we'll do one in the spring just to kick off the season.

I'm still holding out hope. A lot can happen in a week, the forecast can improve and the debris can clear.

well, the forecast for Saturday is MUCH better. sunny and 75 for now.

i'm starting over as far as tracking attendance...so, if you have any desire to come next weekend, can you please reach out either here, or via email? i'd like to gauge interest to see if we can pull it together.

thanks everyone!

It looks like the weather is finally breaking, and it should be a great fall day tomorrow. Unfortunately, my schedule won’t allow me to get out, but Andrew is going to host a raft up anyways. Same plan…meet up at the horse farm and go from there. I know some are still going to Ferry Point for an overnight as well as dinner, but we’ll save the goodies and what not for next Spring or early Summer and try this again.

I hope you all have a great time!

What beautiful day and I can say with confidence everyone had a great time at the Formula Raftup on Saturday.

We had two 370 SS's, a 27PC, and a brand new 350 CBR in attendance. We even anointed one of those other brands a Formula owner for the day (who wouldn't want to see a 2018 60 foot Cruisers Yachts up close ).

Looks like all had a great time! Now you need to start planning next years and double the turnout

well, you can't have a first annual if you don't have a second annual!!

so, quick question for you guys...how about moving this up to July? or maybe even August? This would avoid the crazy weather we've had in September/October the last few years...but it runs the risk of being a smoking hot day. i'm leaning towards July 20th as it gives us some time to recoup after the 4th, and July is typically not as hot as August. thoughts?

i think the best dates for an early get together are either 7/20 or 8/17. if you like the idea of an earlier one, let me know which date you'd prefer. after we get enough feedback, we'll work on pulling this back together!

happy boating everyone!
